Firstly thank you for your support through Gary Parker last year where we raised over £1000 for CLIC (Cancer and Leukemia in Children).

We are repeating the event this year on the 15th / 16th October this year in aid of the same charity. This year we are also adding a road run by steam through the forest on Saturday starting at 11.00am from the Old Mill with refreshment stops along the route returning at 4.00pm.

Tickets are still available at £5/adult or £15 for a family ticket. All proceeds go to the charity.

We are expecting between 25 and 30 steam engines at the event. Refreshments are available throughout the day with entertainment on the Saturday evening.

POP GROUPS JOIN THE SUGAR/RIMMEL LONDON MODEL COMPETITION IN BASINGSTOKE

Sugar, the nation’s favourite teen title today announces pop sensations, Noise Next Door, Koopa, Sara Jorge and Skott Francis are to play live at the Sugar/Rimmel London Model Competition when it arrives in Basingstoke, Festival Place on 15th October 2005.

The acts join event host, popular TV personality Jeff Brazier and top models from Britain’s brightest new modelling agency, ICM Models to entertain Basingstoke’s teens.

The Basingstoke event kicks off at 12 noon on the 15th October 2005 at Festival Place. There will be complimentary makeovers and every girl who enters the competition will receive a free goody bag worth £60. Sugar magazine’s editor Annabel Brog and ICM Models Founder Ellis will select 6 lucky finalists who will be invited to London in December for a Sugar fashion photo-shoot, celebratory dinner in London and receive £150 in fashion vouchers.

We are tryin to raise £1000.00 to send Douglas Randall to South Africa to play cricket for England.The team is made up with people with learning disabilitys. The EWCB are paying for the flights and the Kit but they have to raise £1000.00 each for their internal flights and accomidation while there. The tour is going to travel around South Africa to play in a Tri-Nations tournament with Austrila. So we will be washing cars from 3.00pm-6.00pm Sat15th oct
and 2.00pm -6.00 pm Suday16 oct. Our customer have as usual come up trumps but we still need a bit more. So if you need a car wash do come and see us over the weekend.

SELSEY FIREWORKS 2005

The 26th Annual Selsey Fireworks takes place on Saturday 15th October at the White Horse Playing Field in Warner’s Lane Selsey. Large crowds are expected to descend upon the town to join in what promises to be a really memorable event with a theme celebrating the 60th anniversary of VE & VJ day. A special effects display leads into a spectacular colour co-ordinated display synchronised to World War 2 theme music.

Also on site will be a massive fun fair, live entertainment, a bonfire, competitions, charity stands and lots of catering.

A spectacular themed fireworkks display synchronised to World War 2 film music to celebrate 60 years since VE & VJ days.

A special evening of fine food, wine, music and dancing to raise funds for Brain Tumour UK. The evening will consist of:
Drinks reception, professional photographs, three course dinner, grand prize draw and live music from Jo Jones, local solo artist who will be singing during the drinks reception. After dinner there will be infectious live music from a professional London band 'The Funk Monkeys'.

This event is to raise money to purchase disabled off road wheelchairs for use in the park.
