Live performances from Coldplay, Florence and the Machine, Olly Murs and Rizzle Kicks, Ed Sheeran, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Adele, Bruno Mars, and Blur

The BRIT Awards have always been one of the biggest nights in the music calendar, and not just for the gongs.

Adele's 2011 performance of Someone Like You clocked up almost 100 million views and this year will likely see her rack up the hits again.

Florence and the Machine, Blur and Noel Gallaher took to the O2 stage as the UK's top brass of music celebrated home grown and international music talent.

Coldplay's fiery performance of Charlie Brown kicked off the evening…

Florence belted out an powerful performance of No Light, No Light but Olly Murs teaming up with Rizzle Kicks for Heart Skips a 'Groove' didn't do him any favours...

Ed Sheeran's Lego House was definitely one of the stand out performances of the night; simply staged it definitely had the elements of Adele's Someone Like You from last year...

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin returned to the stage for a collaboration with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds...

The pressure of last year's 100 million-view performance must have laid on her mind but Adele still put in a classic performance of Rolling in the Deep...

Bruno Mars certainly got the O2 Arena fired up...

Bringing the night to a close, Blur belted out a medley of classics, although they did little to inspire anyone watching at home.
